After being gaslighted many times from Cardiologist, I have stopped going to them. Electrolyte balance is the key and stay away from the bad habits lifestyle . Refreshing reading so many like comments My three sources are bolder salt sold on Amazon, Celtic salt and Himalayan salt. Outside of solar events, I stay out of Afib.

Why would you need blood thinners after ablation if you don't have afib attacks anymore?! Makes no sense.

I've been in persistent afib for about 3 years now . I notice 2 things , when I rest at night , my heart seems to beat fine . The minute I get up and have tea or breakfast, it starts . Exercise definitely makes it more bearable. Good diet helps as well.

Great video, well done. I got persistent afib in February 2020 and was corrected with a cardioversion October 2020. It stayed in sinus mode until April 2024 when I went into persistent afib with 220bpm heart rate. I absolutely love exercising especially distance cycling, but I cannot do it now😥. The options I think are another cardioversion or an ablation. Can I please ask, which ablation is best for someone who wants to get back into exercising, would it be the RF burning or the freeze procedure. Thank you

I had an ablation in December 2023 and have not had an afib episode since. I had the ablation because for the 6 months before ablation, I was in the hospital every 6 weeks with afib and it was taking longer to get out of it each time so the suggestion was to have the ablation. It was a very easy procedure-in the hospital at 9 am and out by 5 pm. No pain either. I would definitely have done it sooner if I had know what I know now.

Excellent video full of information to understand AFib. Two years ago I had four episodes of palpitations (fast but regular rhythms) at night while asleep. The palpitations from bloating were relieved after burping and reducing the pressure in my abdomen. About eight months later I was diagnosed with AFib (irregular and rapid pulse) in the ER. I returned to NSR within three hours after IV infusion of Diltiazem, Potassium and Magnesium. Pradaxa and Diltiazem were prescribed. Three months later I had subdural hematoma necessitating a craniotomy. Pradaxa was discontinued but was later prescribed again after a pulmonary embolism. The PE may have its origin from being immobilized for eight days after craniotomy. A Watchman was implanted in January 2024, Pradaxa was discontinued and replaced with Plavix and baby aspirin which was recommended by Hematology. Based on my symptoms (AFib triggered by big meals, eating too fast, happens at night, bending), cardiology diagnosed paroxysmal Vagal AFib. Have made these lifestyle changes: hydration, exercise (walking 3.5 miles x 4-5 times per week); no alcohol, limited caffeine, positive reactions to stress, weight loss, hypertension control and proper nutrition. Next procedure is an ablation in July.

My mother may have this done today. Cardioversion done 5 days ago and had another episode. She's been through alot since March. I hope this works today if they do ablation today. Praying 🙏 ❤ im so scared of the risks! Thank you for your video on this. I'm hoping with her issues that this could be done. I hate to hear her so confused and upset that she thinks she's going to die 😔 it makes me so sad But, the doctors say is is doing real good. I'm really stressed and worried. I try to not let her see me " loosing it" but, stay positive. She is 74 and a fighter.

Good video. As one who has been recently been diagnosed with AFIB I got very lucky as my test showed a very low level of magnesium. 400 mg of magnesium glycinate keeps the AFIB in check as my Coreg was practically useless. A plus of the magnesium is that my blood pressure is normal and negates the Coreg use. Hopefully everything stays normal.

ive cut back on the coffee but havent quit. I dont find it as something that sets my afib off. But Stress is a way higher factor along with the increase in Blood pressure it brings. Instead of 8 scoops in my Bodum Im now doing 3 with less water to still have a flavorful cup of Joe. watch your stressors. I think they are way more of a imput to afib then a cup of coffee . 300 mgs is a good target /day to aim for. Could you plz comment on flecainmide and caffein-alcohol use. i cant find anything on it

I reckon stress is the biggest factor for Afib. The nervous system when challenged interacting with cardiac electrical nodes resulting in irregular heart beats. That is how I understand it, specially in my personal situation. Could be different for other people, I suppose. Thank you Doc, for sharing with us, much appreciated. With loving kindness 💜

I had serious night-long a-fib and the only thing that stopped it was a pulmonary vein catheter ablation (19 years ago). Unfortunately, because of the insurance I had to waste a lot of time trying different heart rate control meds like Tikosyn and others, none of which made a difference.

Had Afib episode for nearly 24 hours. Went to ER, took medication, nothing worked. After about 8 hours of it I was feeling defeated. My wife who’s a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine told me acupuncture and herbal medicine would work but I kept saying no. Finally around 20 hours in, I gave in and she did some points around my body and gave me an herbal medicine one prescription. Heart went back into normal rhythm within 10 minutes. I was amazed. I have a paroxysmal Afib diagnosis but has not came back since I’ve been continuously treated by her for prevention. If you’re interested in finding alternative options to treating your Afib, she’s Dr. Anzola out of Houston and owns Templ Wellness.
